PROFILE: AYAZ ALAM ABRO

Art is a gift of GOD (ALLAH), every human being is born with a
unique talent of their own, and I believe if a person is born with the talent
like art is more blessed, because they are capable of seeing the world like no
one else can, they have power to express through colors, word and sometimes by
gesture. The Soil of Sind is blessed with many talented people, who are known
for their contributions in the fields like Art and Literature, There is no
doubt that the Abro family has contributed a lot to Sindhi literature and culture,
names like Dara Alam Abro,Ayaz Alam Abro, Mansoor Alam Abro, Tariq Alam Abro, Saqi Abro, and Qais Alam Abro all
have the same root, each one of them have their unique talent to express their
talent towards arts, literature, Sindhi language and motherland sindh.
I am feeling proud to write about such a blessed and talented person
who is artist, poet, script writer, Photographer and much more. He is second
Son among the famous Alam Abro family. Ayaz Alam Abro, born on May 3rd,
1950 at district Qambar/Shahdadkot, he took his early education at Government
High School Qamber, after passing class Eight, he was appointed as a Drawing
Teacher at the same school, and use to teach the subjects i.e art and Geometry.
Later in 1962 the Abro family migrated to Jamshoro. Their Ayaz Alam Abro passed
his matriculation exam from Government High School Hyderabad in 1966. During that
time ayaz alam always get time to participate in extra circulative activities
and participate in ٻارن جي ٻاري that broadcasted from
Radio Pakistan Hyderabad Produced by “Ada Mustafa Qureshi”, Abdul Kareem Baloch
(Mama Malooq) and Ali Baba as script writer of that time. Ayaz Alam was very
much found of Reading Books since his childhood, his passion of reading
triggered this quest of writing, and soon he started to write his own stories,
which were published in “GUL PHUL”magazine, Baran ji Bari (Rozana Ibrat
Hyderabad) “Nonehal” Magzine Urdu. Later on Ayaz alam started script writing
for Radio Pakistan in early 70s and 80s the most famous plays were “واچوڙي جي ووڙ “ Drama based on the life of Allama I.I Qaziهيڪل جندڙي، سوڀارو سانول become famous Dramas, he
also scripted the weekly programs “Mahfel-e-shab” produced by Anwer Baloch,
weekly Documentary Program “Ghar shad watan shad” and in 1981 Documentary
Program, PHALKARA “The model Village of Badin Sindh” that was nominated by
Asian Pacific Institute of Broadcasting Development Malasia. as the Best
International Program for Script, Produced By Late Sikandar Baloch. And it was
also appreciated by the AIBD Malasia as the first ever Best informative
broadcasting Program by Radio Pakistan Hyderabad Sindh.
Ayaz Alam Abro started his career as a
Documentary and Drama/Play Script writer for Radio and Television. His first TV
Scripڏات جي ڏيهه ۾ـ which was based on life of well
known writer Ali Baba become the Best Drama of the Year of 1978, and that Drama
was published in Quarterly Mehran magazine in December 1978.
Some other Dramas which are important to be
mentioned here are “Chand Gidray Phar”sindhi and later it was translated as
“EID KA CHAND” and was Nominated for PTV Award, “SKY LAB”. “ Pahanja
Pahanja Sapna”, “Antt Bahar”, and serial
“KUN AIN KINARA”. Many other Stories for the National Circuit among which
“ACHHOT” Produced by Saira Kazme, “Moti Jehro Mann” Produced by Haroon Rind,
were also Nominated for PTV award.
In 1982 the most contributed work of Ayaz Alam
Abro was his Documentary Film “MIR BAHAR” according to Ayaz Alam Abro it was
about the destruction Manchar Lack will face in the future, it was the research
based Documentry, went for the Nomination of “The Berlin International Film Festival”
and won First price. Further Ayaz Alam added that he acted in that documentary
film as a Main character.
Ayaz Alam Abro is multitalented
person he has wrote numbers of columns and research articles for various newspapers, he started his writing
since very young age, most of his articles are research based about Hazrat Shah
Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A) etc.
The people like ayaz alam abro are
the Gems of our country whose talent is the asset to keep our culture alive in
the form of Art and Literature, To me Ayaz Alam Abro is not only loving Uncle
but he is very kind and sophisticated person by heart and by soul. One can see
the reflection of poet’s inside by reciting his poetry which obviously come
from inside of the poet. Ayaz alam is very patriotic to his motherland, his
love for his language is very Rich. I find Ayaz Alam’s poetry very melodious.
Though he has not yet published any of his book but we are expecting to read in
a near future.
